With the Rundown, that's more like a marathon than a sprint...
(All articles from the Huntington Herald-Dispatch unless otherwise noted)
- All the way back on January 14th, Marshall launched a comeback effort in Orlando and Whiteside racked up another Triple-Double against UCF.
- Then the recruiting period of the young Doc Holliday Era got rolling with 9 commits.
- Mark Snyder gets a shot at redemption when ECU Head Coach Skip Holtz goes to USF and takes Snyder along for the ride.
- Herd Hoops got a peak at some Top 25 AP votes.
- Then the Capital Classic happened.
- And as illuminated by a local Huntington DJ, things got a little interesting during that rivalry contest.(92.7 & 98.5 the Planet's Reevis)
- Then the Herd turn around and drop a heart breaker against conference foe UAB.
- But never the less, football recruiting keeps plugging along, and believe it or not academics is a key factor.
- So is the city of Huntington itself. (Charleston Daily Mail)
- As for the latest on recruit, Holliday continues to woo all the right people on the trail.
- Finally, with a game against Memphis coming up, Herd Basketball is still looking for that banner win. (Charleston Daily Mail)
So there we are, over two weeks of action condensed into about a dozen articles. I have further comments on some of the things that have happened, but surprise surprise I don't really have the time for it. Plus, who really wants to read what I have to say about stuff that happened weeks ago at this point?
On that bomb shell, I suppose there's really only one other thing to cover...

Time for the much, and perhaps on thing on this blog that is, anticpated Girl of the Week.
This week it is none other than Emma Stone.

I know this is a departure from the norm around here, but I've been watching Zombieland so sue me. She is of course known for other roles such as being the object of desire for one of the main characters in Superbad as well as for her roles in The House Bunny, The Rocker, and well that's about it.
Until next time sports fans, keep it between the lines.
